Which is longer, a bus or a car?

We say something is longer if it has more length than what we’re comparing it to. When we measure length, we measure the distance from one end to the other. And the distance from the back of the bus to the front of the bus is much longer than the distance from the back of the car to the front of the car.

The school bus has more length and that makes the bus longer.
