First of all, I remember that when we multiply fractions, we multiply the numerator and then divide. In this case, we would multiply five times 62 and then divide by seven. The best way to estimate this problem is found here: 62 divided by seven.
If we round this 62 to 63, we can very quickly divide 63 by seven. 63 divided by seven is nine. Bring down the rest of the problem, and we’re left with five times nine. Five times nine is 45. The best estimate for five-sevenths times 62 is equal to 45.
