The graph of distance and time shows a set of points. Which of the following does each marker on the graph show? Is it (A) a value of distance only, (B) a value of time only, or (C) a value of distance and a value of time?

Each point on this graph can have a horizontal line drawn from it. Where this line passes through the vertical axis shows the distance represented by the point. Every point on the graph can also have a vertical line drawn from it. Where this line passes through the horizontal axis shows the time represented by that point. So each point on this graph represents both a value of distance and a value of time. The correct answer is (C).
