Before we can answer this question, we need to know how many owls we already have. So let’s count: one, two, three, four, five, six. We have six owls. How many more do we need to make 10? Let’s keep counting to see: seven, eight, nine, 10. We need to fill these boxes in order to have 10 owls. How many empty boxes are there? One, two, three, four. We need four more owls to make 10.
