shape have?
Since we want to determine the
number of line segments in the given shape, let’s begin by recalling what is meant
by a line segment. They are finite sections of a
straight line. They are bounded between two points
called the endpoints of the line segment.
We can determine the number of line
segments in the shape by counting them. We see that one side of the shape
is a finite section of line bounded by two vertices of the shape as shown. We can continue this process to
count all of the line segments in the figure. We see that there are four line
segments in the shape as shown.
