Anthony leaves his home on Thursday. We’re then told that he stays in a
hotel for two nights. What day of the week is the first
night that Anthony stays in the hotel? Well, we know that Anthony goes to
the hotel on Thursday. So we know the first night that
Anthony stays is Thursday night. And he wakes up in the hotel the
next morning. What day comes after Thursday? Friday.
So, so far, Anthony stayed in the
hotel for one night. But we know he needs to stay there
for two nights. So the second night he stays at the
hotel is Friday night. So those are the two nights that
Anthony stays in the hotel. He then returns home. What day does he return? In other words, what day comes
after Friday? The day after Friday is
Saturday. So we know that the day that
Anthony returns home is Saturday.
