Objectives
Students will be able to
- model 3-digit numbers in a place value table,
- state the value of any digit in a 3-digit number,
- explain how the value of a digit in a 3-digit number can change based on its place.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- modeling hundreds, tens, and ones using base ten blocks,
- writing multiples of 100 through 1,000 using numerals and words,
- how to read, write, and model 2-digit numbers.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- comparing 3-digit numbers.
