Objectives
Students will be able to
- understand the relationships between natural numbers, integers, rational numbers, and irrational numbers as subsets of the real numbers,
- identify which subsets of the real numbers a given number belongs to,
- represent a real number on the number line.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- natural and integer numbers,
- rational and irrational numbers.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- ordering arbitrary real numbers,
- intervals.
