Objectives
Students will be able to
- use the standard long multiplication algorithm to multiply a two-digit number by a two-digit number,
- find missing numbers in partially complete solutions,
- identify errors in solutions.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- modeling multiplication using an area model,
- calculating partial products and recording multiplication with the expanded column method.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- mental multiplication strategies.
