Objectives
Students will be able to
- count to find the value of a mixed group of coins and notes up to 1,000 pounds,
- state the value of these in pounds and piastres,
- identify a group of coins and notes that have a given value,
- compare two amounts of money,
- add and subtract amounts of money in pounds and piastres.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- the notes and coins used in Egypt and their value,
- finding the value of money in pounds up to 100,
- counting in twos, fives, and tens.
