Lesson Plan: Number Patterns: Three-Digit Numbers Mathematics

Objectives
Students will be able to
- identify addition or subtraction rules for a three-digit number pattern,
- apply a number rule to create a number pattern up to five places,
- extend three-digit number patterns using a given rule.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- skip counting forward and backward,
- identifying and continuing number patterns with two-digit numbers.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- shape patterns,
- patterns with multiplication and division rules.
