Students will be able to

recall that glucose is obtained from food in the diet,
describe how changes in internal environments are detected by the body,
explain how insulin decreases blood sugar levels in the body,
explain how glucagon increases blood sugar levels in the body,
outline how the control of blood glucose is an example of negative feedback,
suggest what symptoms a person who does not release enough insulin (a diabetic) may have.
