In this lesson, we will learn how to find the equation of a line in the form 𝑦 – 𝑦₁ = 𝑚(𝑥 – 𝑥₁) or 𝑎𝑥 + 𝑏𝑦 + 𝑐 = 0 given the slope and one point, or two different points, that it passes through.

find the equation of a line in point–slope form given

- two points on the line,
find the equation of a line in general form given two points on the line,
find the equation of a line given the slope or one point on the line and given that another point on the line is
- an - or -intercept of another line,
- the intersection point of two other lines,
find the equation of a line that passes through the - and -intercepts of two other lines.
