We’re shown a picture of some apples. We have to show the number of apples using the blocks. Let’s look at the first model. Can we match the number of blocks to the number of apples? Let’s count. One apple, one block, two apples, and two blocks. We have one more apple, but no more blocks. Let’s try the second model. One apple, one block, two apples, and two blocks, three apples, and three blocks. This is the model which shows three blocks. There are three apples and three blocks. The number of blocks in this model matches the number of apples.
