Objectives
Students will be able to
- identify whether a line is horizontal or vertical,
- count horizontal and vertical lines in shapes,
- observe that horizontal and vertical lines meet at a right angle,
- find horizontal and vertical lines of symmetry in shapes.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- identifying right angles,
- identifying vertical lines of symmetry.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- parallel and perpendicular lines.
