Objectives
Students will be able to
- convert fractions to terminating decimals or percents,
- convert terminating decimals to fractions or percents,
- convert terminating percents to fractions or terminating decimals,
- interpret word problems that require conversion between fractions, decimals, and percents.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- negative numbers (fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals),
- converting between mixed numbers and fractions.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- recurring decimals or percents,
- representing rational numbers on a number line,
- ordering rational numbers,
- operations on rational numbers,
- irrational numbers.
