Objectives
Students will be able to
- define acute and obtuse angles as being smaller or larger than a right angle,
- identify acute and obtuse angles,
- determine whether angles in a shape are acute, obtuse, or right angles.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- explaining what an angle is and identifying lines that make an angle,
- explaining what a right angle is and identifying right angles,
- comparing angles visually.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- measuring angles,
- degrees or degree notation,
- angles beyond a straight angle,
- letters or symbols in angles.
