Lesson Plan: Types of Motion
This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to recognize when motion is translational and when it is periodic.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- recall what translational motion is,
- recall what periodic motion is,
- give examples of periodic motion.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- the idea that motion is a change of position.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- any calculations,
- explicit definitions of the term center of mass.
