Objectives
Students will be able to
- measure angles on intersecting lines,
- recognize that vertically opposite angles are equal,
- calculate the measure of unknown angles on intersecting lines.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- measuring angles using a protractor,
- using addition and subtraction to find the value of unknown angle measures,
- the fact that angles on a straight line sum to 180 degrees and angles in a circle sum to 360 degrees.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- supplementary angles,
- complementary angles.
