Objectives
Students will be able to
- use visual models to represent hundreds,
- count in multiples of a hundred up to one thousand,
- understand that a hundred is 10 tens,
- understand that a hundred is 100 ones,
- write multiples of 100 using numerals and words.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- modeling tens and ones using base ten blocks,
- counting in multiples of ten up to one hundred,
- writing 2-digit numbers using numerals and words.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- place values of 3-digit numbers that are not multiples of 100,
- comparing 3-digit numbers.
