Objectives
Students will be able to
- describe a point on a graph using polar coordinates,
- plot a point given its polar coordinates,
- convert between polar and cartesian coordinates,
- find the distance between points in polar form.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- reading angles in radians and degrees,
- evaluating simple trigonometric expressions,
- the pythagorean theorem.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- polar equations,
- converting between polar and cartesian equations.
