This lesson plan includes the objectives and prerequisites of the lesson teaching students how to construct an angle to be congruent to a given angle and construct a line to be parallel to a given line.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- draw an angle equal to a given angle in a figure (without measure) using a ruler and a pair of compasses,
- draw a line from a given point parallel to another line using a ruler and a pair of compasses.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- constructing triangles using a ruler and a pair of compasses,
- angle relationships between parallel lines and transversals.
