Objectives

- describe how ATP is synthesized from ADP and inorganic phosphate via a condensation reaction,
- outline the roles of ATP in cells and the body in providing energy to carry out key processes.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- respiration as a cellular reaction that produces energy.
