Lesson Plan: Health and Safety
This lesson plan includes the objectives of the lesson teaching students how to compose a risk assessment and evaluate the risks of given experiments.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- recall what is meant by a “risk” in a scientific experiment,
- describe examples of risks for the given experiments,
- understand how precautions can be taken to reduce the risk of harm,
- construct and identify correct risk assessments,
- interpret risk-severity matrices.
