This lesson plan includes the objectives and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to solve Quadratic equations using an iterative process.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- use the iterative process to approximate solutions to quadratic equations given an iterative equation and a starting value,
- rearrange a quadratic equation into a form that can be used to find its solutions iteratively.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- solving quadratic equations by any process other than the iterative process,
- solving cubic equations iteratively.
