Lesson: Sequence Formulas Mathematics • Second Year of Secondary School

In this lesson, we will learn how to find the general term or a recursive formula for a sequence and how to use them to work out terms in the sequence.

Students will be able to

identify a specified number of terms of a sequence, or a specific term, given the general term or a recursive formula,
identify properties of a sequence given its general term or a recursive relationship, for example, determining if the sequence is increasing or decreasing,
find the general term of a sequence,
find a recursive formula for the sequence.
