Lesson: Reversible and Irreversible Reactions Chemistry

Students will be able to

• distinguish between reversible and irreversible reactions and suggest conditions which reverse these reactions,
• give examples of processes and reactions and classify them as reversible or irreversible in terms of the products reacting to form the original reactants,
• use the symbol in reversible equations,
• explain the exothermic and endothermic nature of reversible reactions in terms of making and breaking bonds.
