state the meaning of the term tropism as a response by a plant to a stimulus,
describe the importance of phototropism, hydrotropism, and geotropism for a plant,
compare the terms negative and positive when related to tropisms,
outline simple experiments to investigate hydrotropism, phototropism, and geotropism.
