Students will be able to

recall that enzymes are proteins,
describe how enzymes act as biological catalysts for certain reactions, which are usually reversible,
explain that enzymes will only catalyze certain reactions due to the need for the enzyme and its substrate or substrates to have a complementary shape,
recall that some enzymes are secreted in inactive forms and must be activated,
state that pH and temperature can affect the activity of enzymes.
