In this video, we will learn how to
read, write, and model the numbers one, two, and three. Here are the numbers one, two, and
three. We could represent the number one
using one block and the number two using two blocks. Here are three blocks to represent
the number three. Let’s try some practice questions
to help us read, write, and model the numbers one, two, and three.
Which box contains one bag?
We’re shown three boxes of
bags. We have to choose the one which
contains one bag. Let’s count the number of bags in
the first box. We could use counters to help. One, two, three. There are three bags in the first
box. Now, let’s count the bags in the
second box. There’s one bag. This is the box we’re looking
for. The third box contains one, two
bags. This is the box which contains one
bag.
Which tank contains two fish?
We’re shown three fish tanks. We have to select the one which has
two fish. First, we need to count the number
of fish in each tank. In the first tank, there are one,
two, three fish. We’re looking for the tank with two
fish. In the second tank, there’s just
one fish. And in the third tank, there are
one, two fish. This is the tank we’re looking for,
the one which contains two fish.
