Objectives

- use the associative property of multiplication to solve word problems.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- multiplication up to ,
- multiplying using area models and arrays,
- the commutative property of multiplication,
- finding products of two single-digit numbers.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- fractions or decimals,
- factors greater than 10,
- variables.
