Objectives
Students will be able to
- draw a bar model to represent a multiplication word problem,
- write a multiplication equation to model a word problem,
- use a bar model to solve a one-step multiplication word problem.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- multiplying numbers using repeated addition,
- multiplying numbers using a number line.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- factors greater than 10,
- multiplicative comparisons.
