Worksheet: Rate Laws from Concentration Data

In this worksheet, we will practice using concentration–time data to deduce the rate law of a reaction and orders of reaction for each reactant.

The isomerization of a gaseous compound is of the first order and has a rate constant of 2.61×10 s−1. Determine, to two significant figures, the concentration of the reactant after 45.0 minutes if the isomerization reaction is carried out at 150C in a 0.300 L flask with an initial reactant partial pressure of 48.5 torr.
