Take away 43 from 64.

We’re going to use a place value chart to help us subtract. We’re going to start with the ones digits. 64 has four ones. And we need to take away 43 which has three ones. So we’re going to subtract three from four. Four take away three is one. Next, we’re going to take away in the tens column. We have six and we need to take away four. Six take away four is two. We took away 43 from 64 and we were left with 21. 64 take away 43 is 21.
