Complete the sentence. If we have 600 ones, we have blank bundles of ten tens.

Let’s start with this phrase, ten tens. Here is one set of tens, one tens. If this is one tens, what would ten tens look like? Here is what 10 blocks of 10 would look like, ten tens. Now we need to know how many ones are in ten tens. Each of these blocks contain 10 ones. We can count by 10 to see how many ones are in 10 blocks of 10. 10 plus 10 is 20 plus 10 is 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100. Ten tens equals 100.

And we need to know how many one hundreds or how many ten tens are there in 600. If this is our bundle of ten tens and there is 100, how many of these would it take to equal 600? Six. To make 600, we need six one hundred bundles.
