Round 12.32 to the nearest ten.

The first thing we need to do is identify the tens place. In this case, we have a one in the tens place. To round to the nearest tens place, we’ll need to look at the digit to the right of the tens place. The digit in the ones place is a two. We know that two is less than five. Therefore, we round this value down.

When we round down, the number in the tens place stays the same and everything after that becomes a zero. We can simplify 10.00 by simply saying 10.

12.32 rounded to the nearest ten is the whole number 10.
