What time is shown on the clock?
When we’re telling the time using a clock, we need to remember that there are two hands. This hand, which is the longest of the two, is called the minute hand. And the smaller of the two hands is called the hour hand.
When the minute hand is pointing to 12, it means it’s something o’clock. The hour hand is pointing to four. This means it’s four o’clock. A quick way to write this is four colon zero zero. This is how we display the time on a digital clock.
The time shown on the clock is four o’clock. We found the answer using the minute and the hour hand.
