What is the sum of the interior angles of a hexagon?

A hexagon is a polygon with six sides. So we’re wanting to know the sum of all of the interior angles, which means you wanna add up all of the inside angles together. There is a formula for this.

The interior angle sum of a polygon formula is 𝑠 equals 𝑛 minus two times one hundred and eighty, where 𝑛 is the number of sides. So we can take our formula and plug in six for 𝑛.

So we need to take care of what’s in the parentheses first. So we need to subtract six and two, so six minus two is equal to four.

And now we need to multiply four times one hundred and eighty. And we get seven hundred and twenty. The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a hexagon is seven hundred and twenty degrees.
