A pizza was cut into 10 slices. Three of them were eaten. Complete the subtraction sentence with the number of slices that are left: 10 minus three equals.
We know the pizza had 10 slices. So we can begin to write our calculation. This question is a minus calculation. And we know that three slices have been eaten.
We need to find out how many slices are left or calculate 10 take away three. Let’s count the slices. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, 10 minus three is seven.
