Sophia made a model using the same shapes as Noah. Her shapes were different colours. Pick the model that Sophia made.

This is Noah’s model. He made a model train. And we know that Sophia made a model using the same shapes, except her shapes were different colours. We have to work out which model is Sophia’s. To do this, we need to look carefully at the shapes that Noah used to make his model train. Noah used a cylinder to make his train. Which of our three models used a cylinder? All of them did.

Noah also used one cube. Which of our models used one cube? The first model used two cubes. So this can’t be Sophia’s model. But the second model used one cube. So this could be Sophia’s model. The third model used two cubes, so this is not Sophia’s model.

Let’s check the rest of the shapes. Noah used a cuboid to make his model train. There’s a cuboid in this model too. Noah used two spheres for the wheels of his train. This model also has two spheres. This is Sophia’s model. It uses the same shapes as Noah’s. A cylinder, a cuboid, a cube, and two spheres.
