Video Transcript

State whether the following pair of angles is supplementary, complementary, or neither. The sum of two supplementary angle measures is 180 degrees. The sum of two complementary angle measures is 90 degrees.

The question now is what do the two angles we’re interested in add up to equal. When you add 39 degrees and 144 degrees, the sum is 183 degrees. This means that these two angles are neither supplementary nor complementary.
