A restaurant’s soda fountain dispenses 19 liters of soda daily. How many milliliters is that?

Let’s start by asking the question, what do we know? We know that the soda fountain dispenses 19 liters of soda daily. What do we need to know? We need to know how many milliliters is that. So we say 19 liters equals how many milliliters? Before we answer that question though, I want us to remember how many milliliters is one liter. One liter is how many milliliters? 1000. One liter equals 1000 milliliters.

To go from liters to milliliters, we multiply our number of liters by 1000. We need to do the same thing here with our 19 liters. 19 liters times 1000 will tell us how many milliliters that is equal to. 19 times 1000 equals 19000. 19 liters equals 19000 milliliters.

The restaurant’s soda fountain dispenses 19000 milliliters of soda every day.
