Typing tan of 62.5 into our calculator gives us an answer of 1.920982127. We’re asked to round our answer to four decimal places. Therefore, the key number is the eight after the dotted line.
As eight is bigger than five, we need to round up. Rounding up gives us an answer of 1.9210. We have increased the nine by one to give us 10. Therefore, tan of 62.5 is equal to 1.9210, to four decimal places.
