State whether the figures are congruent or not congruent.

First we have to think what does congruent mean. Congruent figures are the same size and the same shape. Our first triangle has side lengths three, four, and five.

Our second triangle has side lengths three, four, and five. Both figures are triangles. And they’re the exact same size. One of these figures is faced in a different direction.

But that doesn’t have any effect on whether it’s congruent or not. To be congruent, it only has to be the same size and the same shape. It doesn’t have to be facing the same direction. So we say yes, these figures are congruent.
