How many planets are there in our solar system?
Let’s try to list the planets in order from those closest to the sun to those farthest away, and then we’ll count them.
Closest to the sun first is Mercury, followed by Venus, and then Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
Numbering them from left to right: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. There are eight planets in our solar system.
