Here are the ingredients for chocolate ice cream. Cream: 400 millilitres, milk: 500 millilitres, egg yolks: four, chocolate: 120 grams, sugar: 100 grams. Stefan only has 300 millilitres of cream to make chocolate ice cream. How much chocolate should he use in grams?

We know that Stefan only has 300 millilitres of cream. And the recipe needs 400 millilitres. So Stefan has 300 out of the 400 millilitres that he needs. If we divide both of these amounts by 100, we can see that three hundred four hundredths is equal to three-quarters.

So to calculate how much chocolate Stefan needs, we need to work out three-quarters of 120 grams. We can find a quarter of 120 grams by dividing 120 by four, which is 30. And then to find three-quarters, we multiply 30 by three to give us our answer, 90.

And the question tells us to write our answer in grams. Stefan needs 90 grams of chocolate to make his chocolate ice cream.
