Our US conversions of capacity tell us that one pint is equal to 16 fluid ounces. We’re told in this question that each bottle contains eight fluid ounces. As eight is half of 16, eight fluid ounces is equal to a half or 0.5 of a pint. We can therefore say that each bottle that Ethan prepared had 0.5 pints of orange juice. He prepared 24 of them, so we need to multiply this by 24. 0.5 multiplied by 24 or a half of 24 is equal to 12. The 24 bottles of orange juice that Ethan prepared contain 12 pints in total.
