The graph shows the students marks in science and mathematics over three months. In which month was the lowest mark recorded in mathematics?

On the left side of our graph, these numbers represent the marks that the student got. The bottom information is the month. So we have the months October, November, December. We’ve also been given this key that tells us the green lines represent math and the red lines represent science.

We’re looking for the lowest mark from math, which means will be focusing on the green line. Which green line is the shortest? That line will represent the lowest marks. We find the shortest green line.

The shortest green line has a mark of 25. But the question didn’t say what was the lowest mark? It said in which month was the lowest mark recorded. The shortest green line came from the month of October.

We know this from the label of the month where the shortest green line is from. The lowest recorded mark for math was recorded in October.
