Given that π‘₯ equals six and 𝑦 equals one, find the value of four π‘₯ plus three 𝑦.

We need to replace π‘₯ with the value six and replace 𝑦 with the value one. Now that we wrote our equation down, let’s replace π‘₯ with six and 𝑦 with one. Now we have four times six plus three times one. So we’re gonna multiply four and six together, multiply three and one together, and then add our numbers together.

Four times six is twenty-four. Three times one is three. And now we add twenty-four plus three. So our final answer is twenty-seven.
