If one liter of water is enough to fill six glasses, determine how many glasses can be filled using three liters of water.

We have one liter of water. And that one liter will fill up six glasses. We need to know how many glasses can be filled using three liters of water. Instead of having one liter, we’ll have three liters. We can represent that by multiplying our one liter by three. One times three equals three. We need to do the same thing with our six glasses. Six times three will tell us how many glasses three liters of water would fill. Six times three equals 18. Three liters of water would fill 18 glasses.
